Sutton Hoo Weekend
What a fantastic weekend I had demonstrating the art of wet felting at Sutton Hoo’s Cræftiga Festival.
Barbara from www.nakedwool.co.uk and I shared the sitting room in Tranmer House, what better venue could we have asked for!
Saturday was a bit cold and blustery and our sympathy went out to the stall holders outside, they still seemed to be having a fun day with lots of Viking activity going on.
Sunday the sun came out and we all had a very successful day with lots of interest in my felt works, Barbara’s fabulous Shetland wool kits plus the Lavenham Spinners Guild, who were located in the dinning room.
A brilliant time was had by all and hopefully we will be back next year.
I am now busy catching up with orders from customers and as always I will be at Nayland Farmers Market in a couple of weeks time.
Lots of exciting things coming up in the diary. April 8th is the first workshop here at Chalk Cottage.
Ickworth Wool Fair is May 30th /31st plus some (away from home) felt teaching days in May, this is just the start of a very busy year ahead.
